NABET-CWA Memorial Scholarship Awards
Once again it is time to begin the selection procedures for the NABET-CWA Memorial Scholarship Awards.
1. The scholarship is open to sons and daughters of active, retired, or
deceased members.
2. Applicants must be students in a high school class graduating in 2012.
3. The award supplies
$750.00 yearly for four years as a partial payment of
tuition or other expenses to the school designated by the winner.
4. Winners must maintain at least a C+ average,
or equivalent, during their four years in
college and must attend full time.

The applications must be returned by the local no later than March 25th, 2012. Therefore, please have the application
filled out and returned to Bill Lambdin no later than March 15th, 2012.
All applications must be verified by the Local President, in the space provided before mailing to the Sector Office.
NABET-CWA Scholarship Application 2011

REGION TWO: JAMES P. NOLAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Amount: $1000 One Time award. Once received, winning student is
no longer eligible for this Scholarship in future years.
Eligibility: Child or legal ward of an active or retired member in good standing
in Region II. Applicant must be a high school senior or college under-graduate. Winning applicant
must present proof of enrollment in accredited college or university before check is awarded. Proof shall consist of
tuition bill or similar official document confirming enrollment for the upcoming college year.
How Chosen: Simple application similar to current NABET-CWA Scholarship forms.
Forms is available below. Application will be authenticated by the Local President. The Award will
be chosen by lot by Region II Vice President at the yearly RAB Meeting. (In the event an RAB meeting
is not held that year, Sector Secretary-Treasurer shall draw winner by lot with at least two active NABET-CWA members as witnesses.)
After the winning applicant is drawn, an alternate shall be selected to receive the scholarship in case the first choice is
ineligible.
To Locals sending in checks: When you send your checks in to fund the program, all
checks should be made payable to: "NABET-CWA Scholarship Program."

CWA Joe Beirne Foundation Scholarship Program
Fifteen partial college scholarships of $3,000 each are being offered for the 2011-2012 school year. Winners, selected
in a lottery drawing, also will receive second-year scholarships of the same amount contingent upon satisfactory academic
accomplishment. Part-time students, less than 12 credits, will receive half of the scholarship monies.
Eligible for the awards are CWA members and their spouses, children and grandchildren, including those of retired or deceased
